About Me

Mary Mulrey is a final year undergraduate student of Education and Fine Art, specialising in Print, at the National College of Art and Design. Throughout her studies, she has gained experience across a range of primary and post-primary educational settings, including mixed gender, single gender, special educational needs, and DEIS environments.

Mary’s print-based studio practice explores memory, loss, and identity. Informed by personal family experiences, her work is developed through drawing, photography, and screen printing to form a cohesive final body of work that reflects the fragmented nature of memory and its emotional impact on individuals and their loved ones. Her practice strongly informs her teaching, as she brings an emphasis on reflection, experimentation, and empathy into the art classroom, encouraging students to value both creative process and personal expression.
